My cooking career started in July 2006 when the long suffering wife, suggested I might like to cook a special dinner for her for once in my life. After I had picked myself up off the floor, I thought long and hard about it and cooked the only thing I had a vague notion about, steak. By adding a nice sauce and some fancy spuds, I impressed the Mrs and actually enjoyed myself in the process. Since then I've been trying to cook at least every weekend trying out something new each time.

So in my seriously limited culinary knowledge I've started this website to both keep a record of all my recipes and also to provide the necessary info for anyone else thats interested in having a go themselves.

This site is not for budding chefs, or expert ones (your help would be appreciated though) but it's for complete beginners who barely know their asparagus from their artichokes, to inspire them to at least have a try. You and those you choose to entertain maybe surprised at the results.
